House Raising & Restumping Sunshine Coast
Restumping a typical three-bedroom home on the Sunshine Coast runs about A$8,500 to A$20,000; raising a house is a separate job priced by size, from around A$18,000 for a small cottage to A$57,000 for a large four-bedroom. Tell us the suburb and the symptom and we will put a QBCC-licensed local contractor on it.
- QBCC-licensed contractors only — a licence is required for any building work over A$3,300.
- Published price bands, so you can size the job before anyone visits.
- Coastal plain and hinterland both covered, and they are not the same job.

Why this site
Built for one region, priced in the open
- Licensed work, not a handyman job. Every service on this site is QBCC-regulated structural building work. A QBCC licence is required for building work valued at A$3,300 or more, and we only connect you with contractors who hold one. We are not the builder and we do not hold a licence ourselves.
- Bands published before anyone visits. Most operators here quote only after a site visit. We publish regional guide bands by house size so you can work out whether the job is A$20,000 or A$50,000 before you spend an afternoon on inspections.
- The coast and the range are different jobs. A slab-on-sand beach cottage at Marcoola and a hardwood Queenslander at Montville fail in different ways, for different reasons, and need different stumps. Quotes written from a Brisbane template tend to miss that.
- One number, and it is answered. Calls to the number on this page are recorded — an automated notice tells you so when the call connects — and passed to a licensed contractor covering your part of the coast.
How it works
Four steps, and we are only in the first two
- Tell us the job. Suburb, house type, and what is happening — sloping floor, rotted stumps, or a plan to build in underneath.
- We match a licensed contractor. Someone QBCC-licensed who works your part of the Sunshine Coast, coastal plain or hinterland.
- They inspect and quote. Under-floor access, stump condition, ground and slope decide the real number. The quote comes from them, not from us.
- You deal with them directly. We are not in the contract. Price, schedule and the work itself are between you and the contractor.
What house restumping and raising costs in Sunshine Coast

| House raising — one/two bedroom cottage | Around 6m × 8m, lifted up to approximately three metres. | A$18,000–22,500 |
| House raising — three/four bedroom | Around 10m × 15m, lifted up to approximately three metres. | A$33,000–45,000 |
| House raising — larger three/four bedroom | Around 12m × 18m, lifted up to approximately three metres. | A$37,500–57,000 |
Ranges reflect typical Sunshine Coast jobs and vary with access, site conditions and scope. These are regional guide bands derived from published South East Queensland cost guides, not quoted Sunshine Coast job prices. Restumping and raising are separate jobs — a raise-and-restump project combines two rows, it is not one of them. Raising figures are based on lifting up to approximately three metres and exclude drafting, engineering, council approval, service reconnection, new stairs and any new slab. Your quote comes from the contractor after a site visit. A firm price comes from a site visit — call (07) 5227 8232 or use the quote form.
House Raising & Restumping across Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is two different building environments inside one council area, and stumps fail differently in each. On the flat coastal plain from Caloundra up through Kawana, Maroochydore and Coolum, flooding tends to be slower and longer — the Bureau of Meteorology's own description of the Maroochy and Mooloolah catchments is that flat coastal plain areas generally experience longer-duration flooding than the upper headwaters. Water that sits is what rots bearers, sills and the bottoms of timber stumps. In the hinterland behind the range — Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Eudlo — the same catchments produce a fast peak instead, and the damage is scour and movement around the footing rather than slow rot. Same council, same trade, two different reasons your floor is not level.

There is no premises to visit; the work happens on your property, arranged by the contractor you are connected with.
